Crested Butte Wildflower Festival is seeking an Assistant Director to help organize and produce the 2018 Wildflower Festival (July 6-15).
The Assistant Director is responsible for recruiting and organizing Festival volunteers, assisting with administrative and customer support, coordinating the Festival’s ID and Garden tours, organizing and managing the boutique, and overseeing the 2018 photo contest and 2019 poster contest. Additional duties may include managing the Festival’s social media platforms and designing our 2018 print advertisements and marketing materials. Ideal applicant will have exceptional organizational and communication skills, proficiency with MS Word and Excel, and proven ability to manage people/events.
This position is part-time February – August of 2018, with potential to become a year-round, salaried position. Hours are flexible, however 30+ hours per week are required mid-June through mid-July. We are an advocate for the preservation and appreciation of wildflowers. The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival begins mid June and lasts through August. Our festival week is usually the 2nd week of July during peak wildflower season. We offer over 250 events from hiking, walks, birding, butterfly identification, arts, edibles, medicinals, 4x4 tours, etc. with talented instructors from all over the country.
